How it works

Do good. Show it. Inspire more.

Onward turns the giving you already do into something your community can see, and a reason for others to match you.

Three steps.

  1. 1

    Give or volunteer

Give to a nonprofit directly, sponsor an event, sign up for a shift, then log it on Onward.

  2. 2

    The nonprofit confirms

Gifts show as verified once the nonprofit confirms them. Volunteer hours count right away.

  3. 3

    It shows up

On your page, on the nonprofit’s page and in the Hub, where your community can cheer you on.

Questions.

Is Onward free?+
Yes, for everyone.
Does Onward handle donations?+
No. You give directly to the nonprofit. Onward shows the giving; it never touches the money.
How are gifts verified?+
The nonprofit confirms them, or Onward reviews a receipt. Volunteer hours are self-reported and nonprofits can dispute them. How verification works
Can I keep my giving private?+
Yes. Show your name and amounts, your name only, or nothing. You can change it anytime.
Is my gift tax-deductible?+
Not a tax receipt. Check deductibility with the nonprofit and your tax advisor.
Who can join?+
Anyone 18 or older, and any business, professional or nonprofit. See our Community Guidelines.

Leave it better than you found it.
