Our Story

Mission

No neighbor should go hungry. Riverside Food Shelf provides fresh, healthy groceries to about 400 families every month, with dignity and no questions asked. We started in a church basement in 1998 with two tables and a donated freezer. Today we run a client-choice market, so families shop for what they actually need, including fresh produce, dairy and meat from local farms and grocers. We're powered by more than 200 volunteers, local businesses and neighbors who show up every week.

How to get involved

Volunteer a Saturday shift, run a food drive at your business, or sponsor our Holiday Meals campaign.

What your support does

Every $1 helps us provide about three meals. $25 gives one family a full holiday meal, and $100 feeds four.
