Onward for Nonprofits

Volunteer Sign-Ups for Nonprofits

Onward lets a nonprofit post volunteer shifts, let people sign up with just a name and email, send reminders automatically, and track every volunteer's hours, all free.

What You Can Do

How It Works

  1. 1Create your nonprofit's page on Onward and add a shift or a need.
  2. 2Share the link by email or social media, and add your shifts to your own website with one copy-paste.
  3. 3Watch sign-ups come in, and see who's coming before the day.

Questions

Do volunteers need an account?+
No. A name and email is enough. They can join Onward later to keep their hours on their own profile.
Does it cost anything?+
No. Everything on Onward today is free, and it stays free. If we add paid extras later, they'll be new and optional.
Can families sign up together?+
Yes. Say how many are coming and add each person's name. Each person takes a spot, and the nonprofit sees everyone on its list.
Can volunteers log hours themselves?+
Yes. Hours count right away, and you can dispute any that don't look right.
Does Onward keep a volunteer list?+
Yes. Every sign-up lands on your list with names, emails and everyone coming with them. You can add people yourself and download the list anytime. It's yours.
